Access Control Readers

Access control readers can be

• Bio-metric – Finger, Face, Retina (Eye), Hand. Palm, Vein
• Pin code or Keypad
• Swipe (bar-code,magnetic)
• Proximity (Prox), or
• Insert (Throat)

Different levels of access control require different type, or combination of types of readers. Basic access only requires a pin code reader whereas server rooms for instance could require a combination of pin-code, card and bio-metric, a higher levels could require 2 or more people with the same configuration as mentioned before access is granted, so when considering which types of readers to use you need to consider your level of security required as well as the speed of access.
